Biomedical illustration and medical-legal visuals
I dream in CMYK
With almost twenty years of experience in print illustration, you can be assured your artwork will arrive ready to meet printing standards. I can arrange either work-for-hire (client owns the copyright) or a limited run contract. Contact me for pricing details, every job is different and I can work within your budget and timeline. My policy is to never say “I can’t do the job for that price” but instead “Here is another possible solution that would fit your budget.” What you envision might be more affordable than you think!
-
I have experience with texts from grade school to graduate level, in subject areas from human anatomy to biology and geology.
-
Client-specific illustrations for your personal injury or malpractice cases can both inform the jury (who often don’t have experience with hospital images) as well as gain sympathy for the affected individual.
-
Illustrations can help patients understand surgical procedures they or a loved one are expecting, or explain how a medication works in the body.
-
An illustration in your journal article or grant, customized to your research, can emphasize your findings and intents of your future studies.
All images are works made for hire and are the exclusive property of the clients. These are shown as samples of my work only, for licensable samples see my Illustration Services page.
Licensable work
Illustrations shown here are owned by the artist and available for non-exclusive licenses, contact me for more info.
The Process
Your idea
Share your vision, I am here to make it reality. Send sample images along the lines of the content and style you hope to see.
“Pencil” sketches
They’re still called that, but I create my sketch phase digitally. Your approval then leads to the final colored render.
Delivered art
I send you the finalized art.
Oops, do you see something you want fixed? A round of corrections is included so long as nothing new is added from the original art manuscript / instructions.
